My process
01.
Fill out the form
Once you’ve decided on a service and paid the retainer, complete the client form, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
02.
Meet up
So everyone feels comfortable and gets to know each other, we’ll have a quick call to discuss goals for the session and plan it out.
03.
Picture time
The big day! We’ll meet, talk, connect. In the meantime, I will prepare the equipment so by the time I point the camera, you’ll feel more ease.
04.
Delivering photos
In one or two weeks, you will receive your edited pictures. Depending on the service you select, this could be an in-person reveal with popcorn.
FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Don’t sweat it! I hate getting my photo taken too, so I understand how weird it can feel for some people. Even though I strive for “natural,” I also make sure everyone looks their best. I’ve got lots of posing tips at the ready, and we’ll get to know each other a bit before I lift the camera.
What should I wear?
This will be part of our discussion during the discovery meeting after you book.
But basically, wear what makes you feel comfortable and most like yourself. The worst is when we’re made to dress up in clothes we’re not used to wearing because most of us end up looking awkward.
Keep in mind the background—whether pure white wall, brick, nature, cityscape—you want to stand out from it. So think about colours and textures that stand out, rather than blend in.
How many pictures will I receive?
Photos included in the flat-rate packages are listed on the session pages.
I use a credit system for purchasing extras, so please take a look at that page and the menu.
Are you available outside of Vancouver?
Absolutely! Travel costs will apply beyond the Greater Vancouver region, but I come to Toronto once a year for bookings and I’m always happy to go anywhere in the world.
Do you do couples photography?
Yes! The Platinum Portrait Session allows up to 2 people at the session. You can use the time to shoot photos as a couple instead of shooting solo portraits.
